Focus Group Discussion on Procurement of Government Goods and Services

In order to strengthen Regional Advocacy Committee (Komite Advokasi Daerah / KAD), Indonesia Business Links organized a Focus Group Discussion, which aimed to further discuss the condition of Government goods and service procurement (Pengadaan Barang dan Jasa Pemerintah / PBJP) in relation with the formulation of ideal PBJP improvement strategies in each region, on February 20, 2019.

This FGD invited Corruption Eradication Commision (Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi / KPK), Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kamar Dagang dan Industri / KADIN), National Public Procurement Agency (Lembaga Kebijakan Pengadaan Barang Jasa Pemerintah / LKPP), National Strategic for Corruption Prevention (Strategi Nasional Pencegahan Korupsi), and Prevention Coordination and Supervision of KPK (Koordinasi Supervisi dan Pencegahan KPK).

From the result of this discussion, it was discovered that improvement still needed in the governance of regional PBJP, including the improvement of vendor management system’s quality (related to vendor blacklist), integration of budgeting than needs to be adjusted along with planning, and quality improvement of Government Internal Control Apparatus (APIP) for PBJP supervision.
